Cybercrime awareness and Family Law Firms
The SRA (Solicitor’s Regulatory Authority) offer a “scam alert search” tool, to help check up on any suspicious emails you may receive, or if you are in doubt as to the authority or legality of a firm you may have instructed.
When making important life-changing choices, such as divorce, separation, child arrangements and wills and probate matters it is important to get advice which is reputable and trustworthy.
The SRA aim to help clients and the public make well-informed choices about using legal services. Their scam alerts warn about people who may be calling themselves solicitors but in fact are not qualified or registered.
You can check whether a solicitor is registered with the SRA by looking on their website for an SRA logo clickable registration mark. Clicking this link should take you to the SRA biography and information page for that professional.
You can find our SRA logo at the bottom of our Kent and Surrey Family Resolution home page, or by following this link to Nigel Clarke’s information page on the SRA website.
