Separating couples attending family courts over whether children should return to school
The Covid-19 pandemic has raised additional stressful and fraught questions for separating parents trying to co-parent, not least regarding returning their children to school.
Trying to co-parent can be difficult in any circumstances, but the re-opening of schools has led to separated couples asking more questions as to what to do regarding school attendance.
According to Sarah Williams, legal director at the London family law firm Payne Hicks Beach, speaking to The Guardian, parents are disagreeing about sending their children back to school as classrooms re-open in the UK.
Disputes have included couples disagreeing over their children using hand sanitiser or wearing masks. Ensuring what is right and best for the child concerned has become harder with divergent opinion on safety, numerous sources disagreeing. Parents are faced with uncertainty and conflicting advice.
