The Times reports that divorce boom post-COVID-19 may not be as expected

The Times has reported that one in five married couples said their relationship had strengthened during the pandemic, compared with 10% who said it got worse.

On November 8th The Times reported that, contrary to some reports that COVID-19 would cause a surge in divorce rates, lockdown can in fact ‘rejuvenate’ marriages.

Twice as many marriages improved during the pandemic as were made worse, according to a report by the Marriage Foundation. The report analysed 2,559 responses from parents who completed the UK Household Longitudinal Survey Coronavirus Study by Essex University.
