The COVID-19 Pandemic has stretched the already overworked family court system in the UK to the limit. In seeking solutions to this problem, to alleviate some of the distress and pain this has caused families and children, we work towards other innovative solutions in family dispute resolution.

One of these is Hybrid Family Mediation.

Crucially, we put client’s needs first, to keep assets safe and prevent unnecessary stress, which can adversely affect children who may be caught in the middle of a divorce or separation process. As we look for timely, economical, sensitive and efficient approaches, we work with the Family Hybrid Mediation model.

Hybrid mediation is particularly useful for family, separation or divorce cases which would otherwise find themselves in the family court, which an be costly, stressful and uncertain. It also works well in high conflict cases, at times where the traditional mediation process has broken down, for unmarried couples, and in other family issues such as family business or inheritance issues.

Family Hybrid Mediation is reassuring and economical, it involves lawyers throughout, including attending the mediation itself where required, to support their client. The service may be remote and need not be face-to-face.

Henry Brown, who established Resolution’s original mediation training and who developed and used the Hybrid Family Mediation model over the past 2 decades says:
