Cafcass issues new advice to professionals on working with children during Covid-19

Cafcass, the children and family court advisory and support service, have issued detailed support to those working with direct contact with children and families during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The guidance outlines how arrangements are to be made for social workers to see children and families, work in Cafcass offices and attend court during the Covid-19 pandemic. It discusses Cafcass’ approach to working with children and families during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Cafcass demonstrate the importance they attach as to how and when to see a child and their family. This is stated as ‘critically important and must always be clearly expressed and recorded’.
