Human rights and 'right to family life'

The Joint Committee on Human Rights will be hearing from witnesses about the human rights implications of long lockdown in mental health units and prisons, as well as care homes.

To committee will be hearing from witnesses whose right to a family life (Article 8 ECHR) has been personally affected by the long lockdown in settings including prisons, care facilities and care homes. The includes hearing evidence related to the rights of the children of mothers in prison.
