Report returns findings on family law cases coming to UK family courts
This March brings the welcome publication of the President’s Public Law Working Group. Its remit was to examine how to achieve best practice in the child protection and family justice systems.
The PLWG was formed prior to the COVID-19 pandemic. It aimed to investigate the steep rise in public law cases coming to the Family Court and to offer recommendations for improving the system’s ability to address the needs of the children and families at the centre of these important cases.
Its recommendations included ensuring the voice of the child is at the centre of collective thinking.
