We follow Resolution’s Code of Practice

When looking for a divorce or separation, it is essential to find legal professionals who are looking after your best interests and putting your family needs first.

As a member of Resolution, we commit to their ethical Code of Practice. The aim is to promote a constructive approach to family issues and considers the needs of the whole family, in particular the best interests of children.

Each family is different, yet dealing with separation and divorce is undoubtedly difficult. Emotions are high and even if two people agree, the changes can be overwhelming and stressful. Following a code of practice means reducing or manage any conflict and confrontation. This may mean by not using inflammatory language for instance and practicing with sensitivity and empathy. It can also mean helping clients understand and manage the potential long-term financial and emotional consequences of decisions.

Following Resolution’s Code of Practice by listening to and treating everyone with respect and without judgment can take some of the stress out of a what can be an immensely challenging period in many people’s lives.
