But you can take steps to keep your own information safe.
Sadly with the pandemic there has been an increase in online and telephone scams and fraud. This can even involve individuals fraudulently pretending to be law firms.
The SRA keep a list of known scams, so you can check if you have received a ‘phishing’ email, text or call.
