Cafcass guidance on 'Parental Alienation.'

Cafcass have produced an informative webpage examining what parental alienation is and what support is available.

Cafcass, or the Children and Family Court Advisory and Support Service, have produced some useful information on handling ‘parental alienation.’

The exact definition is still debated, but Cafcass currently define this as: ‘when a child’s resistance or hostility towards one parent is not justified and is the result of psychological manipulation by the other parent.’

As always, the aim is to establish what referrals, intervention or support may be needed to end or lessen any harmful impact to children and parents.

You can access the resource at Cafcass’s website through this link.
