Resolution backs calls for Afghan legal community to be given safe passage to the UK
Resolution, a UK community of family justice professionals, have joined similar calls from the Law Society President Stephanie Boyce and Lady Hale.
Resolution have called on the UK government to guarantee Afghan legal professionals fleeing the Taliban safe passage to the UK.
Resolution said:
‘For the past 20 years these lawyers, judges and advocates have bravely promoted the rule of law in Afghanistan as well as the rights of women and girls. Many of them are now in hiding from the resurgent Taliban with the very real threat of execution hanging over them and their families.’
