Cafcass published private law data from September
Private law demand monitors applications made following a divorce or separation about the arrangements for children, such as where a child will live or with whom a child will spend time.
Cafcass publish these statistics for private and public family law, on the tenth working day of each month.
Cafcass reports they received 3,623 new private law cases in September 2021 which is 543 cases (13.0%) less than the same period in 2020. These cases involved 5,130 children, which is 1,107 (17.2%) less children than September 2020.
