Family hubs transformation fund

Family hubs transformation fund

Local authorities can apply for funding to help them open family hubs in their area by March 2024, according to GOV.UK website.

Evidence shows that a child’s home environment, family stability and caregiver/parental relationships are central to children and young people’s development and their success in life.

Local and national services have a vital role to play in supporting families with this and reducing disparities. However, disadvantaged and vulnerable families often experience significant difficulty in accessing joined-up support services, having to go to different places for different guidance and support.

A single gateway for family support services, like family hubs, can join-up organisations, offer a whole family approach with relationships at the heart of family help. This can include help with family mediation, arbitration and family law services.

This can help manage pressures on services more effectively, reduce waiting times for early help interventions and ensure that families are offered support at the first time of asking.
