Separated parents - Guide from Resolution available to download freely

Becoming a separated parent can be a challenge, it is not something you may have anticipated. It can seem an overwhelming or lonely place to be. Resolution have provided a helpful guide on what to expect and how to care for yourself and your child(ren) through the separation process and beyond.

Resolution’s website provide a helpful and reassuring guide for separated parents, providing information, advice and practical tips to ensure family break-up has as little impact on children as possible.

Resolution were established in 1982 as an alternative to the what can be sometimes high conflict or stressful court system in place around separation or divorce. They are a group of family justice professionals (lawyers, mediators, therapists and coaches) from around the country, working with families and individuals to resolve issues in a constructive way. They put any children in the frame when considering how two approach divorce or separation, which can be helpful for many parents.

Their vision is of a world where families facing difficult change are supported so they can achieve child-focused solutions and for conflict to be taken out of family law disputes.
